How it works

From question bank to graded results in three steps.

No setup call, no software for anyone to install, and nothing for candidates to learn. If they can open a link, they can take your assessment.

  1. Step 1: Write or import your questions

Build questions in a table editor, or paste up to 500 at once in Aiken format. Single and multiple answers, True/False, and points per question are all supported. Fix a typo right up until the first candidate starts.

  2. Step 2: Add candidates and share their links

Paste an email column from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV. Everyone gets a personal link you send through your own email, LMS, ATS or WhatsApp. Candidates can also sign in with their email and the last four digits of their phone.

  3. Step 3: Get graded results as they finish

Scoring happens on the server the moment a candidate submits. See scores, timings and focus flags per person, a gradebook across a course, and export everything to CSV.

Use cases

Made for the people who set the exam.

Whether you’re grading a class or shortlisting candidates, you get the same things: a clock that can’t be gamed, an answer key that can’t be found, and results you can trust.

Teachers, schools and universities

Run the whole course, not one quiz at a time.

Quizzes, midterms and module tests with a timer that can’t be paused and answer keys that can’t be found.

  • Enroll students once

Group assessments into a program. Everyone enrolled can take every module, including the one you add next term.

  • One gradebook for the course

A grid of students against assessments shows who finished what, their percentage, and where the gaps are.

  • Bring your question bank

Paste or upload Aiken text, the plain-text format Moodle imports. Copy a set back out to reuse it next year.

  • Deadlines your way

Set opening and closing times, or run a module self-paced. Students see what’s open now and what opens later.

Recruiters and employers

Screen candidates without making them install anything.

Aptitude and skills tests that open from a single link in any browser and hold up when a lot of candidates take them at once.

  • Fits the way you already hire

Export every candidate’s personal link as a CSV and send it through your ATS, mail merge or WhatsApp.

  • The right person takes the test

The start page shows who a link belongs to, with a “Not you?” route, so a forwarded link can’t quietly start someone else’s test.

  • Flags you can act on

Tab switches and window blur are counted per candidate and shown next to their score. Candidates are told before they start.

  • One record per candidate

See every assessment a person has taken, with scores, timings and flags, and export the full results to CSV.

Features

Built for high-stakes simplicity.

A lightweight online assessment platform with the parts that matter for a real exam, and nothing that makes a candidate install, grant or explain anything.

Security

Absolute integrity, enforced where it can’t be edited.

Answer keys never leave our servers. The deadline is fixed the moment the exam starts and checked again on every save and submit, so closing the tab or changing the computer’s clock buys no extra time. Tab switches are recorded even if the candidate closes the page.

  • Graded on our servers
  • A clock that can’t be paused
  • Focus tracking, disclosed

Candidate experience

Frictionless for candidates.

No extensions, no downloads. If the Wi-Fi drops, answers are already on the device and sync when it comes back.

  1. 10:04:31 Q12 → saved on device
  2. 10:04:33 connection lost
  3. 10:04:35 retry in 2 s, 5 s, 15 s
  4. 10:04:52 synced, newer copy kept

Question banks

Import your question bank and your class list.

Paste up to 500 questions in Aiken, the format Moodle uses, and preview each one before it’s added. Paste an email column straight from Excel or Sheets: duplicates collapse and bad addresses are flagged.

3 valid · 1 duplicate removed · 1 to fix

Programs

Programs and a gradebook for the whole course.

Enroll students once, and every module in the course opens to them. Add a sixth module next term and they’re already on it. One grid shows who finished what, and the gaps.

Guessing a way in doesn’t work

Repeated wrong guesses at a candidate’s sign-in lock it for longer each time, and a locked sign-in rejects even the right code.

Exports are complete by design

Results export to CSV for the whole list of candidates, never just the page you were looking at.

Built for big intakes

Search and filters stay quick on every list, measured at 300 assessments and 18,000 candidates on a single account.

Integrity

Cheat-resilient by architecture, not by surveillance.

Most exam cheating relies on the browser knowing something it shouldn’t: the answer key, or the right to decide when time is up. Arivoform keeps both on the server, then tracks focus in the open and tells candidates before they start.

What Arivoform never collects

  • Webcam
  • Microphone
  • Screen recording
  • Keystroke logging
  • AI eye tracking
  • Kernel drivers

Live in your browser

Try the integrity layer

Two ten-minute timers started at the same moment. The left one trusts the candidate’s computer, as many quiz tools do. The right one works like Arivoform: the deadline is held on our servers, and the countdown is recalculated from it four times a second. Now try the two tricks candidates actually use.

Typical quiz timer

on the computer

10:00

Counts down on the candidate’s computer and decides for itself when time is up. It slows down in a background tab and believes whatever the system clock says.

Arivoform

held on the server

10:00

The deadline is saved on our servers when the exam starts. Every save and submit is checked against it, so nothing on the candidate’s computer can move it.

Extra time the typical timer gives awaynone yet

Both tricks are simulated here: a hidden tab’s timer ticking every 6 seconds, and a changed system clock. Switch tabs for real and your own browser will slow the left timer down.

Comparison

Between spyware and a spreadsheet, there’s a better exam.

Legacy proctoring buys integrity with surveillance. Form builders and Quilgo-style add-ons are easy, but they were never meant to keep an answer key secret. Arivoform is the lightweight proctoring software in between.

Exam-day reliability

Built for the moment everyone clicks Submit.

The riskiest minute of any exam is the last one. So we tested exactly that: 200 candidates on one exam, all running out of time together. Then we checked what was actually saved, not just how fast it answered.

  • Saved as they go

Every answer is saved on the candidate’s device instantly and on our servers seconds later.

  • Wi-Fi drops? Keep going

Saves retry automatically. After a refresh or a closed tab, candidates pick up from their latest answers.

  • Time up means submitted

If the final submission fails as the clock hits zero, it keeps retrying until it lands, with every answer kept.

  • Nothing starts by accident

Opening a link shows whose exam it is and how long it takes. The clock starts only when they press Start.

FAQ

Questions people ask before their first exam.

Something else? Email [email protected] and a person will reply.

Can candidates find the answers by inspecting the page?

No. The answers are never on the page. Before a question reaches a candidate’s browser, the correct answer is removed on our servers, and all grading happens there after they submit. Developer tools, saving the page or reading network traffic reveal only the question and its options.

Do candidates need a webcam, an app or a browser extension?

No. Candidates open their link in any modern web browser and start. Integrity comes from a deadline held on the server, answer keys that never reach the browser, and tab-switch and window-blur tracking that candidates are told about before they begin. Nothing is recorded: no video, audio or screen capture.

What happens if a candidate’s internet drops during the exam?

Nothing is lost. Answers save to the device immediately and to our servers a few seconds later, with automatic retries. After a dropped connection, a refresh or a closed tab, the candidate reopens their link and carries on from their latest answers. The clock keeps running on the server, so going offline never buys extra time, and if time runs out during an outage the submission keeps retrying until it lands.

What if everyone submits at the same moment?

We load-tested exactly that: 200 candidates on one 40-question exam, with their timers running out together. Every submission was stored with its full set of answers, and every score matched an independent re-check. Ninety-five percent of submissions were confirmed within 30 milliseconds.

Can I import questions from Moodle or an existing question bank?

Yes, in Aiken format, the plain-text format Moodle and many question banks use. Paste the text or upload a UTF-8 .txt file. Arivoform previews every question before anything is added and names any line it can’t read by its line number. It imports up to 500 questions at a time, including multiple correct answers, True/False and points per question, and can copy a set back out as Aiken text for reuse.

How do candidates get into their exam?

Each candidate gets one personal link, which opens every assessment they’re on, including every module of a course. You send the links however you already reach people: your own email, LMS, ATS or WhatsApp. Candidates can also sign in with their email address and the last four digits of their phone number from your list. A candidate who loses their link can have it emailed to them again.

Can I use Arivoform for pre-employment testing?

Yes. Recruiters and employers use it for aptitude and skills screening. Candidates need nothing but a browser. The start page confirms whose test it is. You see scores, timings and tab-switch flags for every candidate, and a single record for each person across every test they take. Results export to CSV for your ATS or spreadsheet.

Do candidates see their scores?

Only if you want them to. Showing or hiding scores is a setting on each assessment. So is telling candidates they missed an assessment, which suits graded exams better than practice quizzes.

How is Arivoform different from Google Forms or Quilgo?

Form builders and timer add-ons are quick to set up, but they weren’t designed to keep an answer key secret or enforce a deadline candidates can’t get around. Arivoform keeps both on the server, adds disclosed focus tracking, imports Aiken question banks, and organizes assessments into courses with one gradebook and one link per candidate.

When can I sign up, and how much does it cost?

Arivoform is in early access while we onboard our first organizations, and public sign-up and plans are coming soon. Join the early-access list and we’ll contact you when your account is ready and pricing is published.
